June the 7th, 2025 – A new platform for Croatia-France economic cooperation has been launched, with an additional focus on tourism and cultural exchanges.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the UIA brings together 65 associations and 20 delegations from across five continents. It nurtures a network of more than 20,000 members and has been connecting the Alsace region with friends around the world for more than four decades.
The International Association of Alsace and Alsatians (Union Internationale des Alsaciens – UIA) has announced the opening of its very first representative office right here in Croatia next Wednesday (June the 11th). This new platform for Croatia-France economic cooperation will bring these two European countries closer together in multiple senses.
“By opening this new representative office, we are creating a new platform for Croatia-France economic cooperation, as well as more cultural and tourist exchange between Croatia and France. A special emphasis is being placed on business networking and the promotion of our shared heritage, gastronomy and university programmes,” they stated from the aforementioned association.
Thanks to the tireless work of Slađana Novaković, UIA Serbia has become a key player in strengthening relations between France and the countries of the region in just two years. Now, more of a specific focus can be placed on Croatia and strengthening not only Croatia-France economic cooperation, but on deepening the overall relationship shared by these two countries.
Slađana Novaković’s previous hard work successfully enabled the unhindered promotion of Croatian tourism and cultural potential in the Alsace region. It also very firmly laid the foundation for the opening of a new representative office in Croatia, the date of which is now rapidly approaching. Novaković remains a leading force in the development of future joint projects and sees the Republic of Croatia’s role as a strategic bridge to the rest of Southeastern Europe.
